The brief.
For the uninitiated – Gaelic Football and Hurling are the two national sports in Ireland. And Sky Sports has been covering both of them for the past 7 years. But how do they compete with RTE the national broadcaster, who broadcasts the lion’s share of the games and in many households is something of an institution?

The strategy.
While RTE is beloved by die-hards, many fans agree that Sky’s coverage is more insightful and gives you a fresh perspective and a deeper understanding of the modern games. It effectively gets them closer to the action.

The solution.
We used point-of-view footage, combined with stories from behind-the-scenes to demonstrate to the viewer that Sky really does show you the game from an exciting and completely unique perspective. It gets you so close to the action, that you almost feel as if you’re inside the game yourself.
